Tecno’s Camon series is known for their camera-centric approach.

The just lauched Camon X, and Camon X Pro continue this tradition while taking care of other latest fads like the 18:9 display.

The all new Tecno Camon X Pro

Here are the technical specs:


The Tecno Camon X has 6.0-inch (18:9) IPS LCD HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels.

The Camon X Pro’s display is FHD+ with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels.

OS & Processor

The devices run on Android Oreo (8.1), layered with HiOS 3.3 and are powered by an Octa-core 2.0GHz processor based on the MediaTek Helio P23 chipset.

Graphics are powered by a Mali-G71 GPU.

RAM & Storage

The Camon X comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. It supports expansion via microSD of up to 128GB.

The Camon X Pro has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.


The front-facing camera is an impressive 20MP shooter with dual-LED flash and is capable of recording 1080p video.

The Camon X Pro has a 24MP front-facing camera.

The primary camera is 16MP with ring-LED flash.

Network & Connectivity

The devices support GSM, HSPA and LTE network standards.

Connectivity is via Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/AF, hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct. Bluetooth v4.2 A2DP, LE. MicroUSB 2.0. GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS.


The Tecno Camon  X and Camon X Pro draw power from a 3750mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

The Tecno Camon X retails at Ksh. 17,999. While the Pro version is retailing at Ksh. 20,000.

Also launched during the event are the Tecno F2 and Tecno F3.
