In Eternal Peace, Rest Mr. Joseph Obare Osuku

Fledgling adolescents we were,

When our parents handed us over.

Minds barely discerning,

Bodies still sprouty.

Under protective wings,

Your team took us.

With the touch of a father,

firm yet gentle.

You nurtured us into men.

Men of worth.

Words barely describe,

The toil and sacrifice put,

to ensure bright futures.

It therefore pains,

That a potter is plucked,

before he can bask.

Bask in the glory of his handiwork.

With supplication we turn,

unto you.

Oh Almighty.

Full of gratitude for bestowing,

the blessing of his influence

upon our lives.

Till we meet again,

fare thee well sir Obare Joseph Osuku.

True Wycliffe, yet to come to terms that he’s really gone.
